CV Tips
After the panel looked at my CV the feedback was:
- Use your name as the title not ‘CV’
- Don’t put that your enthusiastic and hard working- If you do, follow with some examples
- Keep a clear layout so information can be found quickly. Use a clear font. 2 pages is ideal
- Create a .pdf version to email or post online
- Use online examples as a template
- Never use negative words like hoping, maybe or might
- Use the job description to help you write your CV
- Include relevant work examples clearly presented on A4
- Include contact information, Work experience/ skills, Interests, Referees. Date of birth and gender are not essential. The interests give the employer an idea of your personality
- Don’t include unnecessary achievements. Put grades in reverse order starting with more
